A Milkshake, or simply shake, is a drink that is usually made by blending milk, ice cream and flavoring or sweeteners such as butterscotch, caramel sauce, chocolate syrup, fruit syrup or whole fruit into a thick, sweet, cold mixture.

The surprising history of the milkshake. The term milkshake first appeared in print in 1885 and at the point it  referred to an adult drink containing eggs and whiskey. But by the early 1900s, a milkshake had come to mean a drink made with ice cream and chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla syrup. Milkshake got their name from being served in bars. if the customer enjoy the milkshake, he shook hands with the bartender.

Be sure to let your ice cream soften before scooping. if it's too hard, you might end up having to add more milk, which thins the shake. Test kitchen tip: For an ultra rich shake, use whole milk or milk with a little half and half cream. but never use heavy cream. 

1  Fudge milkshake


Ingredients:-
1 cup vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup smucker's magic shell chocolate fudge flavored topping
3 to 4 tablespoons milk
whipped cream
maraschino cherry

Direction:-
1. Combine ice cream, topping and milk in blender container. process until smooth. Add more milk, if needed, and process to desired thickness.

2.  Pour into serving glass. Garnish with whipped cream and cherry.

2  Blackberry Cobbler milkshake


Ingredients:-
Slice of blackberry cobbler
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup skim milk 
whipped cream

Direction:-
1.  Add blackberry cobbler, vanilla ice cream, and skim milk to a blender, cover and blend until a smooth consistency is reached.

2.  Pour into a glass, top with whipped cream and blackberry sauce.

3  Banana Pudding milkshake:-


Ingredients:-
1 box instant vanilla pudding 
3 cups whole milk
10 scoops vanilla ice cream
3 large ripe bananas
1 cup crumbled vanilla wafer, plus 1 cup whole vanilla wafers for garnish
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup fresh whipped cream
1 large banana sliced ( to garnish)
1/4 cup rainbow candy sprinkles (to garnish)

Direction:-
1.  3 sliced extra-ripe bananas, vanilla bean ice cream, and whole milk in a blender until foamy and thick, about three minutes.

2. Divide milkshake evenly among 4 chilled rocks glasses. top each with 1/4 cup whipped cream and 1 tablespoon crushed vanilla wafers, and serve with 2 lengthwise banana slices.

4  White Chocolate Milkshake

Ingredients:-
3/4 cup fresh raspberries
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 white chocolate chips
4 scoops vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
3/4 cup milk
whipped cream

Directions:-
1.  For the raspberry sauce add raspberries, sugar and lemon juice to food processor and pure until smooth. pour puree through a sieve to remove seeds and place to the side.

2.  Place white chocolate chips in a microwave save dish and microwave at 20 seconds intervals stirring until completely melted and smooth. place to the side to cool completely.

3. Next add ice cream, milk and cooled white chocolate to blender and blend until thick, creamy, and smooth. Drizzle raspberry sauce around milkshake glasses then pour milkshake into glasses.

4.  Top with whipped cream and berries and serve.

5  chocolate cake shake  


Ingredients:-
3-4 large scoops of blue bunny cookies & cream ice cream
milk
1 slice chocolate cake
chocolate sprinkles

Directions:-
1. Mixed the ice cream in a glass with milk, use more milk if you want a thinner, more drinkable shake, and use less milk if you want a thicker, spoonable milkshake.

2.  Break your piece of cake into pieces and add into the milkshake, stirring until just combined.

3.  Top with chocolate sprinkles.

6  Strawberry milkshake





Ingredients:-
8 ounces strawberries, stemmed and sliced
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup milk

Directions:-
1. Blend half of strawberries. 1/4 tablespoon vanilla, 1 cup ice cream and 2 tablespoon milk in blender until smooth. 

2.  Pour into 2 glasses. Repeat with remaining strawberries, vanilla, ice cream and milk. 

7  Coconut milk and Dates shake


Ingredients:-
4 cups coconut milk, chilled
3/4 cup khajoor/Dates, washed and deseeded
granola chunks
pumpkin seeds
melon seeds
fresh seasonal fruits
toasted coconut shreds
a pinch of cardamom powder
a dash of vanilla extract

Directions:-
1. Chop the dates. use the best quality dates you can find. In an immersion blender or blender jar add the chopped dates and blend to a smooth consistancy.

2.  Process to add the flavor of your  choice, vanilla or cardamom or cinnamon anything you fancy or live it just as it is.

3. If you do not plan add any of the other suggested ingredients, serve as it is.


8  Oreo milkshake


Ingredients:-
2 cups vanilla ice cream
2/3 cup milk
8 oreo cookies
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
whipped cream for serving

Directions:-
1. Add the ice cream, milk and oreo cookies to your blender. pulse until mostly smooth.

2.  served in large glassses with whipped cream if desired.

9  Emerald Mint milkshake


Ingredients:-
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon pure peppermint extract
1/4 teaspoon green food colour

Directions:-
1.  Place ice cream, milk, peppermint extract and green food color in blender container; cover. blend on high speed until smooth.

2.  Pour into glasses. top with whipped cream and sprinkles, if desired. serve immediately.

10  Red Wine milkshake


Ingredients:-
1 Breyer's Natural vanilla ice cream
1 cup red wine
4 oz. vodka
whipped cream for serving
Maraschino cherries for serving

Directions:-
1.  In a blender, blend ice cream, red wine and vodka until smooth.

2. Divide between glasses and garnish with whipped cream cherries.
